Here is more information about our five programs.
SWITCH educates community members and agencies on how to recognize red flags for human trafficking, how to report suspected human trafficking cases, and how to respond with appropriate resources to individuals who have experienced sexual exploitation.
SWITCH works with students in middle schools, high schools, colleges, and church youth groups to educate on the tactics traffickers often use and how youth and adolescents can become vulnerable targets to traffickers. The goal of prevention is to provide young people with the tools and knowledge they need to stay safe and to protect themselves and their friends from victimization.
SWITCH DEMAND consists of male volunteers who are passionate about ending the demand for commercial sex and pornography in the upstate. The men in this group fight the demand by speaking to men’s groups about the connections between pornography and human trafficking, and through providing accountability, tools, and resources to those wishing to overcome a pornography or sex addiction.
SWITCH conducts multiple, consistent outreach efforts each month to build relationships with individuals in the commercial sex industry. SWITCH seeks to build rapport and to provide a safe place for individuals to reach out should they choose to want out of “the life”.
SWITCH provides holistic, individualized restoration plans for each participant in our restoration program. Whenever an individual makes the difficult decision to leave “the life”, SWITCH partners with them on their journey, helps them to set goals for themselves, and empowers them with the tools and resources needed to achieve their goals. Restoration frequently involves partnering with community, state, and national agencies in order to best serve program participants.
